lyrics
Black night
Lost fight
Demons
Tear me
Apart
Again
Holding on to the flame inside
Don't give it up, don't let it die
Persevere until the very end
Follow your heart, do not pretend x2
Passion forcibly sequestered form these fading embers
Cannot be rekindled, my attempt deterred
I can't press on in this state, looping without end
Maybe one day I can see the shining light again
Holding on to the flame inside
Don't give it up, don't let it die
Persevere until the very end
Follow your heart, do not pretend x2
Floating in the depth of my mind, I will take back what's mine
Getting back up to face, the challenges of this place
One day I'll swim free, in luminescent seas
Deep down below the tide, possibility resides
Holding on to the flame inside
Don't give it up, don't let it die
Persevere until the very end
Follow your heart, do not pretend x2
Another seamless blend of extreme genres from Stortregn. Killer riffs, tasty basslines, and lots of fun tech influences in the composition and instrumentation make this an absolute banger front to back. Facepalming Panda
A captivating combination of genres – essentially proggy death metal. A seamless 60 minutes full of musical ideas. A little noodly at times, but I enjoy the clean guitar work. Lyrically, it sits somewhere between nihilism and humanism – anti-religion, but more broadly institutional than the typical metal fare. There's a relish to the violence against women imagery in "Slave" which I don't enjoy, but on the whole this album stands up to scrutiny from most directions. Certainly not run of the mill Luke
A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan
Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
